Recently, a member of the regional golf development division came to our school and gave a lecture about golf, and teach the history of Ichikawa city, Hyogo. Ichikawa is the birthplace of  The National Iron club. Students tried to hit a golf ball and learned a little of Ichikawa’s history. For many students, it was the first time trying golf, but they eventually managed to get the hang of it. The staff who came from Ichikawa city prepared enjoyable lessons for the students.

副校長の長谷川です。昨日から2日間、兵庫県市川町より地域振興課や地場産業のゴルフクラブをPRするスタッフの方々が来校くださり、体育授業としてゴルフ体験の出前授業を行っていただきました。実は、兵庫県神崎郡市川町は国産ゴルフアイアン製造の発祥地なのです。

私は本日5校時に授業参観したのですが、生徒達はブースごとに分かれて、ゴルフクラブ製造の話を聞いたり、実際に体験をしました。初めてゴルフクラブを持つ生徒がほとんどでしたが、丁寧なレッスンでコツを掴む生徒もいました。

普段はなじみのないスポーツでも、実際にやってみると、とても楽くなり興味・関心が高まることもあります。施設・用具準備を整えてもらった上、安全に講堂（体育館）でゴルフ体験でき、生徒にはとても貴重な機会となりました。
