7月1日に、ポーランド下院副議長ドロタ・ニェジェラ様をはじめ4名が来校されました。

まず摺河校長と、本校が10年以上にわたって交流を続けるポーランドの姉妹校・ナザレ校との関係を中心に、ポーランドと日本の教育について協議されました。その後、ニェジェラ氏と、ナザレ校との交流に参加した代表生徒4名による懇談の時間が設けられました。ポーランドへの研修旅行に参加した生徒からは、ポーランドの緑豊かな都市環境やナザレ校の生徒たちの主体的な学びの姿勢から、日本も学ぶべき点が多いのではないかというような意見が出ました。

最後に、ニェジェラ氏から生徒一人ひとりに記念バッジが手渡されました。その際、ニェジェラ氏からは「勇敢になりなさい。不可能なことは何もありません」との熱いメッセージをいただきました。

国を越えて届けられたこのメッセージに後押しされ、さらに生徒一人一人が世界で羽ばたけますように。

On July 1st, Ms. Dorota Niedziela, Vice Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, visited our school accompanied by three delegates.
The visit began with a discussion between Ms. Niedziela and Principal Suruga, focusing on the educational exchange between Japan and Poland, especially our more than 10-year partnership with our sister school with Nazareth High School. Following their discussion, Ms. Niedziela joined a roundtable discussion with four student representatives who had taken part in the exchange program. One student shared her impression of Poland’s lush urban landscapes and the proactive attitude of Nazareth’s students, suggesting these qualities could inspire HIS students.
And at last, each student received a commemorative badge from Ms. Niedziela. She shared an inspiring message: “Be brave. Nothing is impossible!”
