During this summer vacation, many students come to school to study and prepare for their trip to Korea.The junior high school first grade students had a theatre summer program.They were performing in front of their parents, they thought about all of the casting, costumes, and props involved. The program made students feel accomplished. This program taught the students how to adhere to rules, be on time, stay within a budget, deliver quality, and encouraged them to develop strong teamwork and originality. This experience will be helpful to the students with their Liberal Arts classes in the 2nd semester.

お盆も過ぎ、夏休みも後半となりました。学校では23日からの「韓国スタートアップ研修」事前学習会、進路に関しては「就職生校内選考会」、大学推薦入試に向けての補講、そして部活動等で休み中と言えど、目的を持った多くの生徒が登校しています。

中学部では中学1年生が昨日と今日で「演劇サマープログラム」を実施しました。本番の18日は保護者の皆様をお迎えし練習してきた演劇を発表しました。全員参加のなか、三グループに分かれたそれぞれの作品は「セロ弾きのゴーシュ」、「かぐや姫」、「シンデレラ」でした。作品決定からは、生徒たちで配役決定・係分け・段取り確認を打ち合わせし、予算内で舞台美術の小道具、衣装づくりまでを行いました。講師でプロデューサーの別役慎司先生、アシスタントの御法川万葉先生のご指導のもと、みんなで舞台を創り、発表できた達成感を感じるプログラムでした。

このプログラムでのプロデューサー指令は、①時間を守る②予算を守る③クオリティにこだわる④チームワークを発揮する⑤オリジナリティを出す、でしたが、表彰式やその後の写真撮影では「やりきった」感がみんなの表情に溢れていました。

賞はグランプリ、準グランプリだけではなく、舞台美術、衣装、演技にまで及びました。2学期からの「リベラルアーツデー」に大きな刺激となったようです。
